U.S. could end up feeling some of Greece's pain, experts say

Though Greece's economy is small compared with that of the U.S., some consequences of the former's debt crisis might reach the latter, financial experts said. That's particularly true if contagion spreads to other eurozone economies, they said. Banks in the U.S. hold about $16.5 billion in debt owed by Greek borrowers, but the figure for Ireland, Italy and Spain is 10 times that amount, according to the Bank for International Settlements.
