U.S. unemployment reached peak in October, economist says
Lakshman Achuthan, managing director at the Economic Cycle Research Institute, said the U.S. unemployment rate likely peaked in October, if history can be used as a gauge. "You have never had a four-tenths-of-a-point decline in the rate and then see it go up to a new peak" since World War II, Achuthan said. "The unemployment rate already peaked."
